> Learn how to set up SMTP for Yahoo Mail, including the host, port, and login details.

Use these settings with PDF.co’s [Send Email API](/api/email/send) to send emails with or without attachments through your Yahoo Mail account. You can call the API directly or use PDF.co’s integrations with Zapier and Make. See Reference Material below for integration guides.

## SMTP Configurations for Standard Yahoo Mail Users

* **SMTP Server/Host:** `smtp.mail.yahoo.com`
* **SMTP Port:** `587`

## SMTP Configurations for Yahoo Plus Users

* **SMTP Server/Host:** `plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com`
* **SMTP Port:** `465` or `587`

## Authentication Information

* **SMTP User Name:** Your Yahoo email address (e.g., `yourname@yahoo.com`).

## Additional Information

* For standard Yahoo Mail users, the recommended SMTP port is 587, which supports STARTTLS encryption.
* Yahoo Plus users have the option to use either port 465 with SSL or port 587 with STARTTLS, depending on their email client’s capabilities.
* Ensure that your Yahoo account has “Allow apps that use less secure sign in” enabled if you encounter issues with SMTP access, as Yahoo may block applications that do not meet its security standards.
