# How to Set Up SMTP for Email via Verizon

> Learn how to set up SMTP for Verizon, including the host, port, and login details.

Use these settings with PDF.co’s [Send Email API](/api/email/send) to send emails with or without attachments through your Verizon account. You can call the API directly or use PDF.co’s integrations with Zapier and Make. See Reference Material below for integration guides.

## SMTP Server Details

* **SMTP Server/Host:** `smtp.verizon.net`
* **SMTP Port:** `465`

## Authentication Information

* **SMTP User Name:** Your Verizon email address (e.g., `yourname@verizon.net`).
* **SMTP Password:** Your Verizon password.

## Additional Information

* Verizon SMTP setup requires SSL encryption, which is facilitated through port 465. Ensure that your email client or application is configured to use SSL to secure your email transmissions.
* Check if your Verizon account settings allow SMTP access; some providers require you to enable this feature manually.
