# How to Set Up SMTP for Email via Rediffmail

> Learn how to set up SMTP for Rediffmail, including the host, port, and login details.

Use these settings with PDF.co’s [Send Email API](/api/email/send) to send emails with or without attachments through your Rediffmail account. You can call the API directly or use PDF.co’s integrations with Zapier and Make. See Reference Material below for integration guides.

## SMTP Configurations for Free Rediff Users

* **SMTP Server/Host:** `smtp.rediffmail.com`
* **SMTP Port:** `25`
* **SMTP User Name:** Your Rediff email address (e.g., `yourname@rediffmail.com`).
* **SMTP Password:** Your Rediff password.

## SMTP Configurations for Pro Rediff Users

* **SMTP Server/Host:** `smtp.rediffmailpro.com`
* **SMTP Port:** `587`
* **SMTP User Name:** Your Rediff email address (e.g., `yourname@rediffmailpro.com`).
* **SMTP Password:** Your Rediff password.

## Additional Information

* For free users, SMTP over port 25 does not encrypt data, which might pose a security risk. It is advisable to use encrypted connections if available.
* Pro users should use port 587, which typically supports STARTTLS, a protocol that encrypts the communication.
* Ensure that SMTP access is enabled in your Rediffmail settings, as this may be disabled by default.
