# How to Set Up SMTP for Email via Office 365 Mail

> Learn how to set up SMTP for Office 365 Mail, including the host, port, and login details.

Use these settings with PDF.co’s [Send Email API](/api/email/send) to send emails with or without attachments through your Office 365 Mail account. You can call the API directly or use PDF.co’s integrations with Zapier and Make. See Reference Material below for integration guides.

## SMTP Server Details

* **SMTP Server/Host:** `smtp.office365.com`
* **SMTP Port:** `587`

## Authentication Information

* **SMTP User Name:** Your Office 365 email address (e.g., `yourname@yourdomain.com`).
* **SMTP Password:** Your Office 365 password.

## Additional Information

* Office 365 SMTP requires the use of TLS encryption on port 587. Ensure that your email client or application is set up to use STARTTLS as the encryption method.
* As a security measure, Microsoft may require additional steps for authentication such as enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) and generating an app-specific password.
