# How to setup SMTP for email via AOL mail

> Learn how to set up SMTP for AOL Mail, including the host, port, and login details.

Use these settings with PDF.co’s [Send Email API](/api/email/send) to send emails with or without attachments through your AOL Mail account. You can call the API directly or use PDF.co’s integrations with Zapier and Make. See Reference Material below for integration guides.

## SMTP Server Details

* **SMTP Server/Host:** `smtp.aol.com`
* **SMTP Port:** `587`

## Authentication Information

* **SMTP User Name:** Your AOL Mail screen name (i.e., the part of your AOL email address before `@aol.com`).
* **SMTP Password:** Your AOL Mail password.

Ensure that your AOL account allows third-party applications to use AOL mail through SMTP. Check or modify this setting in your AOL account security settings to prevent login issues.
